Among the strong trends of the latest edition of Euroluce is the return to rounded shapes, expressed with contemporary details and pastel colors.
Scenographic and technological: the collections presented during the latest edition of Euroluce that just ended are the ideal synthesis of innovation and comfort and the result is of great beauty.
The LED revolution meets the rediscovery of artisanal glass processing and a design that is attentive to the quality of both the light and the product. The new lamps are beautiful even when turned off but when they are turned on they transform into authentic magic of light that enchants. Energy efficiency, visual comfort and great style are therefore the recurring characteristics of the new collections in which we find rounded but new shapes and barely hinted colors to be used to create interesting combinations with furniture and accessories.
Noura by Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas for Martinelli Luce
The Noura suspension is an example of how technology is interpreted today in favor of beauty and visual comfort. Here the rounded shape identifies the large disk of light suspended from a joint that allows the lamp to be positioned in different positions. Austere and sophisticated, Noura offers a diffused and composed light, warm and enveloping, suitable for contexts of various kinds.
Cristalbolla by Linea Light Group
A glass sphere with a disk of light inside is the concept of Cristalbolla, a new collection by Linea Light Group available in both suspension and ceiling versions. With its rounded shapes, it is an authentic bubble of light, direct and comfortable. And the possibility of creating harmonious compositions by combining multiple elements is very interesting: minimal if taken individually, decorative and impactful if combined.
Pace by Caine Heintzman for A-N-D Lighting
Roundness meets color in the Pace collection: enchanting in the three versions: floor, pendant or table, this lamp can be composed of a single element or multiple overlapping elements. The colors are barely hinted at and further enhance the beauty of glass, which is confirmed as the material of choice for the most sophisticated lights. It is no coincidence that the company’s declared intent is to merge design and contemporary art, giving life to new forms of visual perception.
Alma by Controvento for Contardi
Round glass is also the protagonist in the Alma collection in which it is combined with the fabric lampshade, another element similar to light. Both materials are enhanced by expert craftsmanship, highlighted by the choice of colors, soft and enveloping. Each element is imagined as a flower and the grooves make Alma sculptural and imposing but always elegant and full of grace.
Gelato by Carlo Nason for Established & Sons
Among the new products presented by Established & Sons, the re-edition of the Gelato lamp by Carlo Nason is one of the most significant. Not only because it recovers a project from the 60s, giving it back some attention, but also because the original idea is enhanced with contemporary technology that makes it portable and the verve of the proposed color palette. In this case too, roundness is the protagonist, thanks to the dimmable opaline sphere and is combined with color and in particular: light green (Mint), navy blue (Azure), classic gray (Smoke) and a vibrant orange (Spritz).
Cascade by Lee Broom for Lladrò
The Cascade lamp is the result of an unprecedented collaboration between the English designer Lee Broom and the Spanish porcelain brand Lladrò. This is Broom’s first collection for the company and above all his first experience with porcelain. But he has managed to combine his strong and sculptural style with the delicate profile of this material and the result is surprising. Here too the sphere is the recurring motif and the lamps are the result of a vertical composition with great visual impact.
